For years, many stories cooked, steamed, grilled, baked and fermented in my kitchen, they smelled, they allured yet I could not offer them to fellow humans. The door of the kitchen stayed closed, even sealed. Some stories did not survive time or being hidden; they got forgotten, burned, frozen, rotted… But some are still alive and one is very excited to be served: The first story of Single Seed Tale.
Today is the beginning of the preorder of my first eco-fantasy novel. Its name is The Seed and it is currently being published in France under the title La Graine. And today is the day I am serving you a piece of the story here: its first chapter in English.
I and my imagination are ecstatic for you to meet with Nar and Linden who have become a part of my family since Twenty Eighteen. At last, I can introduce you to them and the story-dust cloud I have been journeying with.
Thank you for your curiosity and time. I hope you enjoy sipping the beginning of the story.
The Seed
Nar was twelve years old when her hair died.
Hair did not live long in the Garden. Hair had to be tamed and composted, that was the way of the Plant people.
